A day in professional hiring

Thursday, 16:00. The debrief starts in an hour.

The hiring manager wants one page on the finance lead candidates. Four interviewers each asked something different, two haven’t sent feedback yet, and the final round repeated questions the first one already covered. The recruiter is piecing it together from emails and memory.

One standard, from first round to final interview

Firstview applies one set of criteria from the CV to the final team interview. The AI runs a structured first round, and the Notetaker writes each interviewer’s evaluation in the same template, with the questions asked and the areas still open.

Every round builds on the last, and the team can compare candidates side by side.

Questions teams ask

What is a structured interview?

A structured interview asks every candidate the same questions and judges the answers against the same criteria. In personnel selection research it is the strongest predictor of job performance (r = .42). In Firstview, the AI runs the structured first round and the Notetaker writes up each later team interview in your template.

Is this a one-way video interview?

No. It is a live two-way conversation: the AI asks your structured questions, follows up when an answer is incomplete and answers the candidate’s questions.

What does the Notetaker do?

It joins each team interview on Zoom, Google Meet or Microsoft Teams, from your calendar or a link, records it and fills your template with one section per interviewer, with the right name on every line.

Does the AI look at the candidate’s face?

No. Firstview does not analyze faces or expressions, and video is never part of the evaluation. Verdicts come from what the candidate says.

Can we use our own interview scorecard?

Yes. Build it as a Notetaker template, with ratings, a yes/no recommendation and any sections you need, and the Notetaker fills it from the recording.

Can later interviewers see what earlier rounds covered?

Yes. Each interview report and Notetaker write-up lists the questions asked, how the candidate answered and the areas still open, so the next interviewer can focus on new ground.

Does the report flag gaps between the CV and the interview?

Yes. The AI interview report flags anything that contradicts the CV and lists the criteria the interview did not cover.
