AI interviewer

The first interview, in their language, at their hour.

A live voice interview that follows up when an answer falls short, answers the candidate’s questions and ends in a report with the evidence.

The phone screen problem

Phone screens reach a few candidates. The rest wait or leave.

A recruiter can only call so many candidates in a day. The others wait for a slot, take another offer, or never hear back. The AI Interviewer can interview every candidate you invite on the same day, at whatever hour suits them.

An AI interview, in their own time.

The AI asks your questions, follows up when an answer is thin and writes down what was said.

How it works

Build it, send it, review it.

01

Build it

Describe the role, and Firstview drafts the interview goal and 10 to 15 questions for it, technical and behavioral. Approve them, edit them or add your own. You choose the voice, the length (up to 60 minutes) and what the AI may say about the company, the role, the salary and the location.

Interview settings
02

Send it

Invite one candidate or a whole stage by email or WhatsApp. Candidates start when they are ready, on a laptop or a phone.

03

Review it

Read a verdict for each criterion with the candidate’s quotes, and click any quote to watch that moment in the recording. Then ask the AI Assistant anything about the candidate.

Interview report
You decide what the AI says

Your company story, told your way.

The AI Interviewer shares what you allow about your company, the role, the salary range, the work model and the location. It presents the role at the start and answers candidate questions with those facts only. Anything you leave out stays private. When the AI does not know an answer, it tells the candidate that HR will follow up.

An AI interview that listens

AI interview · transcript
  • Follows up when it matters

Up to 2 follow-up questions, only for the part of an answer that is missing.

  • Waits for the full answer

The AI does not jump in while a candidate is still thinking, and an “uh-huh” does not stop it.

  • Gives candidates room

They can pause, ask for a repeat, take time to think or skip a question.

  • Comes back after a drop

If the connection drops, the candidate has 5 minutes to rejoin and continue.

How Interview Integrity works →
Evidence report

Every verdict, with the words behind it.

Firstview’s AI interview report gives a verdict for each criterion with the candidate’s own words behind it. The report also flags anything that contradicts the CV, and lists the criteria the interview did not cover, so your team knows what to ask in the next round.

Questions about the AI Interviewer

Can an AI interviewer take over first-round phone screens?

Yes. The AI Interviewer runs the first-round interview live, by voice, with every candidate you invite, on the same day and at whatever hour suits them. It asks your questions, follows up when an answer falls short and ends with an interview report, so recruiters spend their time on the candidates your team moves forward.

Can the AI interview candidates by voice in their own language?

Yes. The AI Interviewer speaks with each candidate live, by voice, in their own language, for example Turkish or English. Candidates start from a phone or laptop whenever they are ready, and nobody has to schedule a call.

What should you check before buying an AI interview tool?

Check whether each result is explained, who makes the decision, and what the tool does with faces and video. Firstview gives a verdict for each criterion with the candidate’s own words, leaves every decision to a person and never uses faces or video in the evaluation.

Is this a one-way video interview?

No. It is a live two-way conversation. The AI listens, follows up and answers the candidate’s questions.

How long can an interview be?

You set the length, up to 60 minutes.

Which languages are supported?

AI interviews run in English, Turkish, German, Spanish or French, in the candidate’s own language. You can also ask single questions in another language, or use more than one language in the same interview.

Can I choose the questions?

Yes. Firstview drafts 10 to 15 questions for the role, technical and behavioral. Approve them, edit them or write your own.

Does the AI decide who moves on?

No. It writes the report. A person decides.

What does the interview report show?

A verdict for each criterion, with the candidate’s words and the moment in the recording they come from. It also flags anything that contradicts the CV and lists the criteria the interview did not cover, so the next interview can ask about them.

Can I ask questions about a candidate after the interview?

Yes. Ask the AI Assistant, for example “How did Maya answer the questions about night shifts?”, and get an answer with its sources.

Is the interview evaluated against the same criteria as the CV?

Yes. The interview uses the same role criteria as sourcing and CV screening, so each candidate is judged by one standard, from sourcing to decision.

Works with the rest of Firstview

The AI Interviewer runs the first round on the criteria from CV Screening. Its report tells the next interviewer what is still open, the Notetaker writes up that round, and a candidate brief puts it all on one page.
