How do Firstview and Paradox compare on screening, interviews, assessments and hiring workflows? This comparison looks at where they overlap, where they differ, and which needs each is built to serve.

## Who each platform is for

Paradox automates the candidate journey around the interview: applying, screening questions and scheduling. Firstview evaluates the candidate: it reads every CV against your criteria and conducts the first interview itself.

### Choose Firstview when

Category: Hiring Intelligence platform

You need to know who is worth hiring, not only who applied and when they can talk. Firstview scores every CV against weights you set, interviews candidates live in English, Turkish, German, Spanish or French, and backs each verdict with the candidate's own words. It works with or without an ATS.

### Paradox fits better when

Category: Conversational recruiting and candidate-experience platform

Your team hires frontline staff at high volume and wants applications, screening questions and interview scheduling automated by chat, either in Paradox's own Conversational ATS or alongside Workday or SAP SuccessFactors.

## Feature scorecard

These 16 rows compare hiring tasks, not whole platforms. A Full rating means the vendor offers the feature, not that every plan includes it; the pricing section shows what each plan covers.

Full and Partial describe what each vendor's cited public sources show; every source carries its audit date in the source list. Not published means the reviewed sources did not establish the capability; it does not mean the capability is absent.

## Capability by capability

The scorecard is the index. These five sections explain what the differences mean in a hiring workflow.

### 1. Firstview scores every CV against the weights you set

**Firstview:** Firstview scores every CV against weighted criteria you set, checks dealbreakers first, and shows the evidence behind each score. It suggests criteria from your job description, and a combined PDF of CVs splits into individual candidates automatically.

**Paradox:** Paradox parses resumes into candidate profiles and uses prior experience to recommend jobs to candidates. Its public sources do not show recruiter-weighted CV scoring, combined-PDF splitting or criteria generated from a job description.

**What this means for your team:** Paradox's resume matching helps candidates find a job. Firstview helps your team decide whom to interview, with the reasons attached, and the same criteria carry on into the interview.

### 2. Firstview interviews each candidate live, in their own language, with follow-up questions

**Firstview:** Firstview runs live, two-way voice interviews in the browser, in English, Turkish, German, Spanish or French. It asks follow-up questions based on each answer, answers the candidate's own questions about the role, and suggests role-specific questions your team can edit.

**Paradox:** Paradox's voice web widget speaks prompts and captures spoken answers and candidate questions, and recorded interviews collect video or audio responses to recruiter-written questions. Follow-ups are written in advance and triggered by earlier screening answers. Its FAQ advertises candidate Q&A in more than 100 languages.

**What this means for your team:** Firstview interviews the candidate; Paradox's flows collect responses and guide candidates along. If answering candidate questions in many languages matters most, Paradox advertises more of them.

### 3. Firstview tests skills in the conversation; Paradox relays partner tests

**Firstview:** Firstview evaluates competencies and role-specific knowledge inside the interview itself, using 30+ competency frameworks. Technical roles get an in-depth conversational interview and a detailed technical report instead of a coding test.

**Paradox:** Paradox returns results from SHL and Traitify assessments, including a Big Five personality example. Its own disclosure says Traitify is not supplied by Paradox or its affiliates, and public sources do not show which SHL coding tests the connector offers.

**What this means for your team:** If standardized tests from SHL or Traitify are part of your process, Paradox can bring their results in, subject to your provider contracts. If you want to know how a candidate thinks about the job, Firstview assesses it in the same conversation as everything else.

### 4. Firstview links every verdict to the moment the candidate answered

**Firstview:** Each Firstview verdict links to the candidate's answer and the moment they gave it, and unclear cases go to a person, never to an automatic rejection. Firstview Notetaker also joins your team's own interviews on Zoom, Google Meet and Teams and files the notes on the candidate, so AI and human interviews end up on one record.

**Paradox:** Paradox reports keep screening questions and answers, and assessment reports return scores, levels and result links. Public sources do not show criterion-level reasoning behind a score, or AI notes for the interviews your team runs.

**What this means for your team:** Your team can check any verdict against what the candidate said, and the hiring manager sees the same evidence the recruiter saw.

### 5. Firstview keeps one set of criteria from screening to decision

**Firstview:** Firstview includes the pipeline board, calendar scheduling, email and WhatsApp messages, and hiring analytics, so a team can run hiring without a separate ATS. One set of role criteria runs from sourcing to the final decision.

**Paradox:** Paradox's Conversational ATS supports custom stages and statuses. It adds self-scheduling, rescheduling and reminders across multiple interviewers, Microsoft 365 invitations with Teams links, text and chat messaging, analytics dashboards, and synchronization with Workday and SAP SuccessFactors.

**What this means for your team:** Both can run hiring without a separate ATS. If high-volume scheduling and messaging around Workday or SAP SuccessFactors is the priority, Paradox is the stronger fit. If screening, interviews and the decision should follow the same criteria, Firstview keeps them together.

## Compliance, governance, and data handling

Firstview builds its rules into how it evaluates: it never analyzes faces, video is never part of the evaluation, and unclear cases go to a person, never to an automatic rejection. Paradox screening can be configured to progress or disposition candidates automatically, and Paradox publishes ISO 27001 and SOC 2 Type II claims.

| Published information | Firstview | Paradox |
| --- | --- | --- |
| People & oversight | A person makes every hiring decision, and unclear cases go to a person, never to an automatic rejection. | Workflows can leave the next step to a recruiter or let screening progress or reject candidates automatically; confirm how yours is set. |
| Data protection | Encryption commitments, role-based access, retention and deletion practices. | Access by hiring stage, PII masking in alerts and routing of candidate data requests are documented. |
| Independent assurance | No SOC 2 report or ISO 27001 certificate is published. | ISO 27001, SOC 2 Type II and Data Privacy Framework claims are published; request the current reports for your contract. |
| Data locations | Processing in Türkiye, the EU and the US. | No hosting region, retention period or subprocessor list is published for candidate data; confirm them for your contract. |

## Pricing and access

Neither vendor publishes a price list. Firstview sells subscription plans and starts with a pilot on one of your own open roles. Paradox sells through its sales team and documents resume parsing as an add-on at extra cost.

| Commercial model | Firstview | Paradox |
| --- | --- | --- |
| | Subscription plans | Sales-led, package-dependent access |
| Plans & prices | Prices come in a quote from the Firstview team. | No prices are published; resume parsing and some other features cost extra, so confirm what your quote includes. |
| Employer trial | A pilot on one of your own open roles, set up after a demo. | No free trial is advertised; Paradox sells through its sales team. |

## Which should you choose?

Decide by how your team wants to run hiring.

### Choose Firstview if you want

- Verdicts your team can check against the candidate's own words
- Interviews in the candidate's own language, with follow-up questions and answers to theirs
- Hiring in one place, from the job post through CV screening and live AI interviews to the final decision

### Paradox fits better if you need

- Chat-led applications, screening questions and self-scheduling at high volume
- Candidate Q&A advertised in more than 100 languages

If you want every candidate interviewed live in their own language, with every verdict backed by their own words, Firstview is the better fit. Before you choose, see Firstview interview candidates for one of your own open roles.

## Frequently asked questions

### Is Firstview a Paradox alternative?

Yes. Firstview runs hiring from the job post to the final decision: it scores CVs against your weighted criteria, interviews candidates live with follow-up questions, and backs each verdict with the candidate's own words. Paradox focuses on candidate engagement, applications and scheduling at high volume.

### Does Paradox run conversational AI interviews?

Partly. Paradox documents a voice web widget that speaks prompts and captures spoken answers, recorded video or audio interviews, and recruiter-written follow-ups triggered by earlier answers. Its public sources do not show an AI interviewer that writes new follow-up questions from a candidate's answer. Firstview's live voice interviews do, in English, Turkish, German, Spanish or French.

### Is Paradox now part of Workday?

Yes. Workday completed the acquisition on October 1, 2025. That does not mean every Paradox package includes Workday Recruiting or HiredScore capabilities.

### Do I need a separate ATS with either platform?

No. Paradox offers its own Conversational ATS and also works alongside Workday or SAP SuccessFactors. Firstview includes its own pipeline, calendar scheduling, email and WhatsApp messages and hiring analytics.

### Which platform has more assessment types?

Paradox brings in results from SHL and Traitify assessments, subject to your provider contracts; its own disclosure says Traitify is not supplied by Paradox. Firstview evaluates competencies and technical knowledge inside the interview, and technical roles get an in-depth conversational interview and a technical report.

### How much do Firstview and Paradox cost?

Neither vendor publishes a price list. Firstview sells subscription plans and starts with a pilot on one of your own open roles. Paradox sells through its sales team and documents resume parsing as an add-on at extra cost.

### Does Firstview analyze faces or video?

No. Firstview never analyzes faces, and video is never part of the evaluation. Integrity rules apply while the interview runs: the whole screen is shared, the camera stays on and virtual cameras are blocked.
